What are two of the main components you need in your everyday life? Water and exercise! These age-old factors have always played a crucial role in our daily lives. These days, although we have technology on our sides, our need for water and exercise still remains prevalent. Now, the bigger question is; do we mix the two. Oh come on, you have to know what I'm talking about. People have been wondering for decades whether or not to consume water while exercising. The medical professionals have gone back and forth with it. Well, regardless of what we used to believe, the new statistics are in. It is now okay to mix water and exercise. In fact, you probably should be doing so. Our bodies need that re-hydration as we whip them into shape.

Water and ExerciseDuring physical activity such as walking or running on the treadmill, the body loses water primarily through sweat, even in cold weather or in water. The body has several mechanisms to protect itself from the negative effects of dehydration, but thirst does not occur until the person is already dehydrated! 

How much water and exercise do you get on a daily basis? Are you an avid runner, who spends his/her free time sprinting across town or around the local track? If so, you'd better bring plenty of water to drink, because your body will sweat and you'll need to replace what is lost. Our bodies always require a certain amount of the liquid goodness simply to maintain a certain state. Obviously it discards the excess that it doesn't use. However, when you consume caffeinated beverages, the water is pulled from your muscles and flushed out. This is a bad thing. Then you are probably walking through life dehydrated. For every soft drink or cup of coffee you drink, you should be downing two cups of water in order to replenish what is lost. The funny thing about this is that so many folks walk around dehydrated most of the time. Doesn't anyone want water anymore?

So, do you have your water and exercise plan down? It's good to nourish your body with a few ounces every ten to fifteen minutes. As you can probably already tell, you skin dumps quite a bit of it out. Especially on those hot summer days it is crucial to get your water and exercise regime in order. The last thing you want to deal with is dehydration. This happens far too often in this day and age and it truly shouldn't. Yes indeed, if you're searching for the healthy route, folks; it's all about water and exercise. It's time to ditch those sports drinks and delve into the pure stuff.
